Thyme Well Spent

Going away can be the first step towards coming home . . ..

Did someone say its spring?  Great news of course, but where did the months go?
Where have I been you might ask , or maybe you didn't even miss me.

Coming back to this blog after a long absence, suitcase in hand stuffed with excuses, no make that stories to tell, let me just sit down and open it up. Ill share the contents with you and you will see what wonderful things have distracted me. So much has been born already in this new year.
Babies, books, blessings every day.

Babies First.  A new and precious little flower blooms in our family, Miss Violet, destined to endure her grandma's endless collecting of pictures, verses and untold Violet ephemera. Ill try not to overdo it, but it wont be easy

then . . . .A Book Is Born

Thyme Well Spent
A collection of some of my favorite pieces, most written for my monthly newspaper column, all dressed up with photos from my garden and some chosen quotes, picked from a vast collection.  Does anyone else collect quotes? I hope so.

Here's a little preview, for the real deal, just e-mail me and order a copy. $15 post paid

Winter is an etching

Spring is a watercolor

Summer is an oil painting

 . . . . . . . .and Autumn is a tapestry of them all

Whether working in the garden or working with the inspiration of the garden

 . . . . . . . . . .it truly is thyme well spent !

And coming soon . . . . I'm still working on this but it is nearly finished . . . .Little Gardens I Have Grown and Known.
A primer of small gardens combined with my very own watercolor illustrations

Happy New Year - It feels good to be back, so I hope you'll stick around , I will!
